Week 4 Reflection Digital Images.

I wanted to reflect on digital images this week.
Why??  Because I love photos!

I found downloading the program a real problem. It was really getting me down.... I eventually got there though!  For me, working with a familiar medium (photos) is comforting when I am learning so many new things at the moment!
I have made a blog below...the one with the stunning 3 kids in home made dresses!!  But I just wanted to add a few thoughts for you to go with the blog below.
Image is such a powerful tool.  Students can gain so much information and collaborate so many thoughts when shown an image.
When using images, you must be aware of copyright, before publishing.  Also within a school environment, parental permission must be obtained to use images of children.  Even then, usually faces are turned, or children are not easily identified.  Who can access these images is also an important factor.  They must not be available for the world to see.

You know the saying " a picture tells a thousand words?"   I tend to agree!!

Happy Image Blogging friends!

 Kathryn.

  1. Yes, so very right about privacy. I have been in love with photography since as a child of five, I received my first box brownie camera. I was following in my grandmother's footsteps as she worked in one of the first photography studios as an assistant before she married. It has certainly come a long way since then. Still, it can be difficult to tell is something has been tampered with. Much better to be safe and omit any identifying details before posting to the web. Well done, Kathryn.
